Steven M. Erwin

Dr. Steven Michael Erwin, MD, 60, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026. He was born June 29, 1965, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Hugh Eugene Erwin and Marilyn Elaine Williams.

Steven graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine and began his career in family practice before transitioning into emergency medicine, where he spent many years serving as an emergency room physician. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling to various emergency rooms throughout the region and remained proud of the career he built and the patients he cared for over the years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Eugene Erwin; his mother, Marilyn Elaine Williams; and his stepfather, Joseph Conrad Williams.

Steven is survived by his loving children, Brayden "Colt" Erwin, and Remington "Remi" Brook Erwin; his brothers, Randy Erwin, and Dr. John Scott Erwin; and many extended family members and friends.

Steven loved his children deeply and treasured the time he spent with them. He was immensely proud of his children and the close bond they shared. An avid gun collector, he also enjoyed visiting local pawn shops to spend time with friends, where he was known for his stories, humor, and conversation. He will be remembered for his intelligence, strong presence, and the love he had for those closest to him.

A celebration of Steven's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you keep his children in your thoughts and prayers.
