George E. McCoy

George Eugene McCoy, 69, of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, passed away Feb. 19, 2026. He was born Nov. 9, 1956, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Archie McCoy and Mary McCoy.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and 10 brothers and sisters, and one grandchild, Elizabeth.

Survivors include his children, Makisha (Jon) Tenbrink, Darrell (Shannon) McCoy, Mary (Shelly) McCoy; sisters, Cricket Graves, Carolyn Jackson and Theresa Dunnavant; brother, Mearl McCoy; as well as 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

A celebration of George's life will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Garland Edwards officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Shawn McCoy, JT McCoy, Deidra Smith, Kea Moffitt, Dana Lehnherr, Kallie Yarbough, Haylie Love, Chelsie Tenbrink, Brock Tenbrink, Vernon Tenbrink and Veronica Tenbrink.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Lee Fields and Harold Stevens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
