Donna Scott

Donna Scott, 83, of Hot Springs, is celebrating in heaven today with family and friends. Donna left this world surrounded by family on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Scott; mother, Nettie Scott; father, Bill French; special aunt, Margaret Whatley; stepfathers, Leo Turner and Houston Scott; and her first husband, Leroy Garner.

She is survived by her two sons, Darin Garner, Joe Scott; brother, Coy Sample; grandchildren, Joey (Julia) Scott, Jordan Garner, Darin Garner Jr., Garrett Garner; also two ex-daughters-in-laws, Rachel Garner and Vicky Scott.

Donna lived her life with a positive spirit and can-do attitude, her devotion and loving compassion for her family was her top priorities. Donna's heart and actions showed how much she loved her family, friends and community. She served with grace. She had an eye for design and great style. She worked at the Arky House Shoe store until it closed in 1987. She may have served you and you may not have noticed because she did it seamlessly.

She worked with Hot Springs Country Club food and beverage for 27 years until she retired. She loved working in her flower gardens and kept her yard and home immaculate! She is gifted with communication. She loved to fellowship with people and never really slowed down; she continued working after retirement. Helping her neighbors and having friends in the estate sales business, she became very good at that too. She would find friends who needed help and go take care of anything they needed. She would leave any place or person better than she found it!

She loved the Lord and showed it in her actions of giving, kindness and grace.

Donna was a member of Park Place Baptist Church.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Hot Springs Funeral Home, with her brother, Rev. Coy Sample, officiating.

Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.

Pallbearers are her sons and her grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.
