Billy J. Willcutt

Age 72 Hot Springs
March 12, 2026

Billy Joe Willcutt, 72, of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in his hometown. Born on May 24, 1953, in Hot Springs National Park, Billy lived a life defined by faith, love, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.

Billy was the beloved husband of Brenda Jean Willcutt, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and loyalty. Their bond was one of tenderness and mutual admiration, a relationship that served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they built a family that became the center of Billy's world. He couldn't love anyone more than he loved my mother (Brenda).

He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Kelly Willcutt Dryden, Jamie Willcutt Garner Jones, and Lorie Willcutt Kearnes. Billy guided his children with wisdom and strength, always encouraging them to be their best selves. He was also a cherished father-in-law to their spouses, serving as a role model through his actions and character.

Billy's legacy extended to his grandchildren--Corey Philpot, Casey Kearnes, Kaylie Garner, Angel Garner, Mayan Dryden, and Kaolin Dryden--who knew him as the best grandfather anyone could ask for. His great-grandchildren--Aria, Janaee, Historia, Atlas, and Callisto--were his "Little Ones," bringing him immense joy and pride. He poured love into every moment he spent with them.

Billy was also a devoted brother to Beth Tacket and Lynn Payton and David Willcutt and a caring brother-in-law to Debbie Burks. His connection to his siblings was marked by support and steadfastness. He was deeply loved by his extended family members and many friends who were fortunate enough to know him.

Preceding Billy in death were his mother, Eula Willcutt; both of his fathers, Billy Joe Packston Sr. and Edward "PePaw" Willcutt; his mother-in-law, Bonnie Teague Burks; and his nephew, Jeremy Burks. Their memories remained close to Billy's heart throughout his life.

Billy lived an honorable life rooted in faith and humility. His belief in Jesus Christ shaped every aspect of who he was--a man of kindness, patience, and a servant's heart. He treated everyone with respect and fairness but wasn't afraid to give you the "what-for" when needed. He was steady and dependable, always doing what was right even when no one was watching.

As a husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, father-in-law, and friend, Billy embodied love in every role he held. He worked hard throughout his life and gave his best to those he cared about. His presence lit up every room he entered; when he showed up for someone or something important to him, he truly showed out.

Billy's family wasn't just part of his life--they were the very heart of it. He loved deeply and lived purposefully every day. His life serves as a testament to honor, faithfulness, strength, and humility.

Though those who loved him will miss him dearly, they take comfort in the memories they shared with him and the legacy of love he leaves behind. Thank the Good Lord for the time we all had with you--We love you so much! Rest easy now until we meet again.

May Billy Joe Willcutt's memory bring peace and comfort to all who knew him.
